How to request deletion

Any one of these is enough — you do not need to do all three.

1. In the app. Open Shri Madhavji, go to Profile → Delete account, type your phone number to confirm, and tap Delete. It happens immediately.
2. On this page. Sign in and use the form below. It does exactly the same thing.
3. By email. Write to [email protected] from the email on your account, or mention the phone number you signed up with. We delete it by hand within 7 days.

What is deleted

Immediately and permanently, when you confirm:

• Your account — phone number, email, name and password
• Every birth profile you saved: names, dates, times and places of birth
• Saved palm and face readings
• Your japa list, streak and puja reminder
• Your coin balance and its history
• Signed-in devices and notification tokens
• Any unused login codes sent to your number

Your subscription and any mantra unlocks go with it. A ₹10 mantra unlock normally survives a lapsed plan, a new phone and a reinstall — but not deletion. If you have paid time left on a Plus or Pro plan, you lose it, and deleting the account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel that in the Play Store first, otherwise it keeps billing.

What is kept, and why

• Payment records — the order number, what was bought, the amount and the date. Indian tax and accounting rules require these, and a refund or chargeback can arrive months later. Your account is unlinked from them at deletion, so what remains is a transaction that names nobody. Kept for 8 years, as the law requires, then removed.
• Anonymous usage counts — we record that a chart was drawn, never whose. Birth details in that record are stored only as a one-way hash and cannot be turned back into a date, a time or a place. Your account is unlinked from these too.

Nothing kept can be traced back to you, which is the test we hold it to. We never stored your photograph at any point — a palm or face reading discards the image the moment it has been read, and only the written answer was ever saved.

How long it takes

Deleting from the app or from this page is immediate. Requests by email are done within 7 days. Backups are overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle, so a copy may persist in an offline backup for up to 30 days before it is gone from there too. Nothing in a backup is used to serve the product.
